How is DBD allowed on Xbox One when it is basically broken?

So the number of issues with Dead by Daylight (DBD) on Xbox One is kind of concerning.

I can list some of mine here such as:

Loading the game causes the NAT type on my system to change to Strict

I can't play with friends sometimes because the invite system doesn't work. You just end up seeing a message saying they joined your party (pre-lobby) and then nothing happens and then a message says they left. On their end they see the invite and accept
it, but then it just says connecting for a while and then freezes and the game loads to the main menu with a message saying one of 3 things:

Accept invite failed. Could not accept invite

No network connection, you need a network connection to play

an unknown error occurred

The same issues happen when trying to join a custom game with friends

If someone is new to my friends list or not on it after I've launched the game I can't get into groups to play with them. This happens when I try to join an existing friend's lobby and they have another friend with them I don't have in my friends list.
Then no one is able to get into a lobby together. Someone always ends up getting left behind in the pre-lobby while other members of the party load into a lobby.

I can't play the game as the killer. It used to be that I would try to play as the killer and once I clicked Ready it would display a message saying "looking for match" or get as far as "looking for match...connecting..." and then it would crash and load
from the main menu with a message saying either:

An unknown error occurred

No network connection, you need a network connection to play

After a few months of having the game installed every once in a while I try to play as killer to see if they've fixed anything since a few patches have come through in that time but it still doesn't work. At best I can get into a lobby and maybe 2 people
will join as survivors before the game crashes and loads to the main menu with messages:

No network connection, you need a network connection to play

An unknown error occured

I've tried to post these to the DBD forums but I doubt they'll ever be addressed. My question is does Microsoft have some kind of standards that a game has to pass before it can be allowed on the Xbox One platform? Shouldn't a game actually work before being
allowed to be released on their platform, just from a liability let alone a customer satisfaction standpoint?

This game's entire premise is based on 4 people playing as survivors and one as a horrific killer in a match against each other in online multiplayer. When half that equation doesn't even work (playing as a killer) for most users and the other half (playing
as a survivor) only works if you're playing solo (without friends from Xbox Live) wouldn't most people consider that either broken or not working? How can this be allowed on Xbox?

As for the NAT being Strict, sometimes games use different ports and can have a different NAT Type than that of the Xbox Live Service, so I'd

check that you have the Ports that Dead By Daylight also uses forwarded. That might solve some of the other issues you're seeing.

As for the reason it's allowed, this might be more of an individual issue where settings and environment might change the experience. Online games can do that a lot. I remember sometime last year it was part of the Game Pass quests, and I did not have
any issues while playing and my NAT remained Open. A lot of the issues you described could be an issue with connection to the server and NAT so check those ports, see what servers you're connected to. See if there are different regions you can select to
connect to in the MP options, and pick one that might be closer to you.

Myself and my friends both have never had this issue but since you mentioned and issue with nat type that could cause most of the other issues you are experiencing. Nat type issues could be a problem with your internet settings (like if the ports
are being used that dbd or xbox uses ).

That's not what I've been saying. My NAT is fine. It's open. I'll check it before launching the game and it says it's open. The second I launch the game it begins loading up it says my NAT is closed. I'll check to see and sure enough it changed to closed.
Once I test the NAT it goes back to open. This only happens when I launch Dead by Daylight.

Thank you for keeping us updated. Port forwarding allows a device to connect to the designated server through the ports that are used by the server's owner. This is how it helps establish a better connection to Xbox Live or a designated game server.
The university's IT group will be the only ones that can establish this, but you would need to ask if this is possible for them to do. We do not have an application that provides automated port forwarding. If the university's IT group is unable to manage your
console on the university's network, we recommend attempting to connect your console to a different network. Be sure to let us know the results !

So they introduced dedicated servers recently and then took them offline for maintenance. While the dedicated servers were up I didn't experience any issues and it was the first and only time I was able to connect in the game as one of the killer characters.
Since the servers went down the same old problems have come back again.

How is DBD allowed on Xbox One when it is basically broken?
