You're a nearly half a trillion dollar company, you have my money so provide me with the service I've paid for.

"Lots of people are playing!"... That sounds like your problem, billions of dollars and you can't make your cloud infrastructure scalable?

I'm afraid that is how it works, there is an Xbox console at the end of every single connection

And no they can't just make 100,002 units appear out of nowhere, they have to be planned for, hardware is allocated. Even if you call up Dell they couldn't fill a gigantic order for new server blades like that

I'm afraid Network gaming is extremely complicated, before you add into it the fact that you're playing via streaming over the Internet

It's not always just a matter of adding servers, I would refer you to the Friday the 13th game that had to spend two months rewriting their network stack to support the number of players they got

The service is still in beta, and each and every player requires an Xbox series X on the other end for them to play on. you can't just phone a vendor and tell them you need 100,000 units overnight

Starfield is one of the biggest launches an Xbox history, many Xbox players are incapable of playing the game any other way until they upgrade

Lol, mate thats not how it works.

Regardless, what you're saying is they've over subscribed and haven't planned for an influx of new players...I agree.
