How I accidentally sold my Xbox 360 for only $50

So the other day Bestbuy was offering a similar deal to Microsoft on the Xbox One, they would give you $100 for your 360 and they would throw in an additional $50 gift card for buying an Xbox One at the same time. A $200 Xbox One was just too good to pass
up. Well I ended up hating the Xbox One and CoD: Advanced Warfare. So I returned the Xbox One and got my money back. Bestbuy did give me the $50 Giftcard only now I have no 360. Essentially I sold my 360 to Bestbuy for only $50.

Let this be a warning to all the people considering getting an Xbox One by trading in their 360, Don't do it. If you really wanna try the Xbox One you should keep your 360 and just buy the Xbox One because if you trade in your 360 you'll have nothing to
play games on when you end up returning the Xbox One.

Sincerly, A Gamer without a Console

    :)

I only got 50 cents. It must just be how mant points you had left over.

I liked the point thing also. Its quicker this way, but easier for the kid to accidentally download something that cost.

That's a seriously disappointing story. You should have kept the One. What were you thinking?

Obviously he was thinking he hated the X1. I've yet to see anything to convince me to buy one. I suppose eventually when they no longer make games for the 360 I'll have to consider it more. Hopefully by that time the X1 won't be so... well bad.

Well, if my only game on a console was a Call of Duty game, I could understand why someone would hate it, but there are soooo many other games... why would you get rid of the entire thing? How did you come to the conclusion that you "hated it" after like
    2 days?

I agree with the others, you hardly have it a chance! That was the real mistake.

    Thought I'd update.

First when I said "the other day" in my original post I meant about 2 weeks. I really tried to give it a chance to win me over it just didn't happen.

Secondly I really enjoyed the first few call of duty games until CoD:ghosts. I was hoping this game would be similar to black ops 2 which i easily spent 1000 hours playing. CoD:AW is a bad game and I now know that.

Third I also got Assassin's Creed Unity and Halo:The Master Chief Collection to play but even Halo couldn't make me want to keep the Xbox One and Halo is the original reason I bought the first Xbox.

Last the reasons I returned the Xbox One weren't just the games, it was the home screen was hard to navigate and get it to do what i wanted, and the blu-ray player kept getting errors on new blu-ray movies.

I don't think insulting the OP is needed.

The One interface is harder to navigate than that of the 360, simply because it was designed around the Kinect and Microsoft quite obviously expected people to use that.

Dropping the Kinect has caused Microsoft issues, as the interface now needs to be tweaked further to take into account people not having the device.

Personally I love using the Kinect but if Microsoft are going to be selling the One without it, then they do need to make controller navigation as easy as possible. It's not quite there at the moment.

You bought the Xbox One at $200, and it was just recently price dropped to $350 and comes with two games, Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Unity. You returned your Xbox One and gave them your 360 while getting $50 in return. You were basically just given
the money you would have saved if you got the bundle, but you also bought Unity as a seperate sale.

I'm having trouble understanding because it all seems strange.

  14. I think both the PS4 and X-ONE sales have been very fortunate/lucky for both companies. It's over a year now and neither console had had a game that really stands out.

NES had Super Mario Bros. SNES had Street Fighter 2. Playstation had Tekken and Ridge Racer. Playstation 2 had Grand Theft Auto 3. Etc, etc.

Neither the PS4 or X-ONE have had that single legend game released within the first year that will stand the test of time like Oblivion of Call of Duty 4 have for the 360. And with that in mind I think people rushed out thinking that we needed new tech and
loads of amazing games would be released.

The truth is that the PS3 still hasn't given its full potential due to it being a nobhead to code for , and the 360 should have at least been released with a Blu Ray drive to appear moden on release. But at least both games have amazing games.

When the new consoles were released I said months before that I would give it a year. Its been a year and now I'm happy to wait another year.

  15. It's been a year, that is true, but even a year doesn't mean it's going to have a huge library of games. The Xbox One is continually changing, and will continue to change until its end. More games are coming and when the Xbox 360 is officially done, more
developers will focus on just games for the main new gen consoles.
