How have I been playing this DLC?

Hello

I upgraded today to a Series S, and after what I believed was a successful transfer of my account, loaded up Borderlands 3. In my inventory is gear I earned from the last two years of playing the game with my wife (her own separate account and console,) including DLC gear. In fact, a DLC mission was queued up from our last play.

Except now I couldn't access any of it because the game didn't recognize me as owning it.

I double checked the DLC (the first season pass expansions) had properly downloaded. They had. I downloaded them again. Still no dice.

I found a bug with a cosmetic pack that can interfere so uninstalled the cosmetics. Still nothing. So I completely uninstalled Borderlands 3 and tried fresh.

Only now I cannot install the DLC. There's no option. The Xbox store says I don't own it. Says I never did. My order history supports that. My BANK history supports that.

But I've got the gear on my character. I've got achievements specifically from playing these things I've apparently never bought or installed. If I hadn't uninstalled, I'd be able to screenshot them right there on my drive.

I feel like the universe is gaslighting me. Ifb anybody has any clue what happened here, I'm desperate.

Sorry to hear about this confusion about owning or not owning a DLC pack.

It sounds like maybe another account owned the DLC on the previous system you were playing on which granted you access to its content. This can be done if the other account had that Xbox as its Home system. This essentially grants all users access to that accounts digital content even if the account is not logged in.

One can make a system their home system in two ways. By changing the settings when logged in or by creating their profile on the system and accepting the prompt

You can learn more about the Home Xbox system here

This means that you lost rights to the DLC when you moved over to a new system causing the confusion.

I don't have BO2 and just recently purchased the DLC 4 and sure enough I'm having the same problem. I downloaded the first dlc and I had no issues, plenty of people playing despite the fact that BO2 has been released. Clearly the DLC 4 content is messed
up. How do you undo the DLC? Thanks.

Maybe it's about time I play this game already. Just been getting swamped with games. How has the dlc been so far?

Well so far I am having a blast playing the dlc. I have been using my original character, a melee Imperial who is a werewolf, and it's pretty cool seeing the daedric armor again and simply slashing everything in sight. I am trying to decide if I want to
complete the dlc before turning to my vampire wood elf and seeing how it plays out as a vamp....so far the dlc is well worth the money!!

And only file complaints if you have to. Don't go out with the mindset that you are looking for stuff to file complaints about.
