How does Xbox Live work between Xbox Ones

This Christmas I am upgrading both my daughters and my 360 to Xbox One. I am curious what I need to do for live and how it works between different X1's. I'm under the assumption with live home if I put all the gamer tags on my X1 (the main X1) then my daughter
can still use her gamer tag and play games and use live on her X1 separately. Similar to the old family plan. Or if I'm wrong do I need 2 live accounts for both of us to go online at once. Also with the transferring games. If there is a game on 1 of them can
it also be played on the second one? Any help would be grateful. I already spent a lot on the X1's and new games and accessories. I just want to make sure I only need 1 Live account for both of us or if I need to buy another one.

Live Account over 360 and Xbox One

Has it been stated anywhere how it's going to work if you move to Xbox One & keep your 360 ?

Will you still be able to log into Live with your gamertag on both machines (ie swapping between the two systems at will) or will your gamertag be stuck on the Xbox One ??

No worries, I'll try to help if I can.

Sharing Gold - Only one gamertag needs a gold membership on an Xbox One. Simply have that gamertag set the console as the Home console and then go to Settings and scroll right until you see Add to Family. The gamertag you add will then share your Gold
membership on the Xbox One console.

This membership is not transferable to other consoles though so if you had the membership and shared with your daughter she would not be able to use it elsewhere.

If you choose this option, set your daughter's console as your Home console and then add her to your family.

As for games, if you have a disc copy of a game you will need to purchase two copies of it in order for both of you to play at the same time on different consoles.

If you have a digital copy you can download it to both consoles. If you've taken my advice to set your daughter's console as your Home console then whatever you purchase on your console will automatically download to your daughter's console as well. That
way you can both play at the same time.

If you aren't currently aware all games whether disc or digital must be installed to the console's hard drive. This can take up a fair amount of space as some games are quite large. I would recommend getting a couple of USB 3.0 compatible hard drives for
the consoles as well to act as external storage for your games. You can use any drive that ranges in size from 256GB - 16TB
