    How does the update switch from 1GB to 80GB


    Hey I’m confused on my every time I update a game I’m having to reinstall the entire game. For example I had an update for 1.5GB then shortly after clicking update and letting it load it shot up to an update for 80.55GB which is the size of the game if I was to install it. I’m wondering on how I can fix this.

    it's likely your installation had corruption that's usually the reason for total replacement.

    How have I used 23GB already

    Part of it is due to the false advertisement of actual disk space on the HDDs these days.

    -

    Shops will advertise a HDD to have 80GB of space when it really has 78GB of storage. It is because they see 1000MB as 1GB when in actual fact 1024MB = 1GB.

    Does it still use 1GB per hour when in a non-multiplayer game like Skyrim?

    My console is connected to a gigabit switch and the light on the switch blinks fast whenever one of the video ads are displayed suggesting that they are being constantly streamed.

    Still don't know if they could use 1GB an hour as I have no way of testing how much it is using because my ISP usage counter only updates every 24 hours.

    But have you tried going to the dashboards privacy settings and switching content filtering to Family?

    Family doesn't seem to have as many video ads as standard mode so maybe that will use less bandwidth.

    I have a 4GB Hard Drive and another 4GB usb, right now money is very tight as I am going to college and finding job. I got the 1.7GB update on my main. Do not complain about space.

    I got an official xbox 20GB flash drive of amazon for my 20 gig xbox pretty cheap and i just leave it in for extra memory,works fine.When you get the 20gig 360 about 6 or 7 gig is taken straight away before you even start,so the flash more than doubles your
    memory.
