    How does Quick Resume work with Patches and Updates


    I never really fully close ac valhalla and always just open it quick resume its great I'm back where I was in the middle of England in seconds but I don't recall ever having to load the game from cold, so every though my console has downlanded patches surely these haven't applied to my game as its never actually being closed.

    I have the odd time decided to close it however but not for a while.

    Fast forward to this morning had a couple of sessions either side of walking the dog decided to quit to title screen and then game ask me to perform a restart to do with graphics so I clicked OK and suddenly could only start a new game which I thought was strange, so I fully quit the game and reloaded up, went to load my save and the most recent one was my last saves last night. The game definitely did multiple auto saves this morning as I even died and had to re load and also performed a couple of manual saves as I do everytime prior to turning off my xbox. And the most recent ubisoft cloud save is from weeks ago (I'm sure ubisoft connect fails to reconnect after quick resume as half the time I can't access contracts and the store)

    TLDR all my saves from today on AC have gone (two separate gaming sessions) losing me 3 hours of progress. Any way to get them back.

    How does quick resume work?

    Quick resume works by either keeping the ram energized while the rest of the system is off, or by dumping the ramp to the hard drive and then retrieving it later. Many games, especially older ones, have issues with restoring network connections if you quick resume. I personally do not recommend using the feature and making sure you with every game when you're finished playing by pressing the start button on it's icon on the homepage and choosing quit

    Even removing Quick Resume does not help.

    Restarting my xbox does not help.

    Quiting the came does not help.

    Quick resume is not something that can be disabled at this time. You need to go out to the dashboard, hit the start button on the game, and go to quit to ensure it does not enter quick resume

    Same problem here. Quick resume was quickly becoming my favorite feature & it worked fine before the latest update. Now It never works.
