Discus and support how does one download a dlc to a external hard drive in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I wanted to know if it was possible to download a dlc to an external hard drive so i can download it to my xbox 360 because at the moment it cant...     how does one download a dlc to a external hard drive


    I wanted to know if it was possible to download a dlc to an external hard drive so i can download it to my xbox 360 because at the moment it cant connect to xbox live but i really want to play the dlc

    Multiple USB flash drives on Xbox 360

    Hello everyone.


    Today i brought a external Hard drive and i pluged in the console.

    The external Hard drive is recognized by the console, however one of my USB flash drive stops working and it dosen´t show in the storage devices list.

    When i removed the external Hard drive the USB flash drive works again and it shows in the storage devices list.



    The console has:

    • a internal Hard drive
    • 2 USB flash drive
    • the external Hard drive


    My question is how USB devices does the Xbox 360 recognized at once ?

    When I try to download something on my 3tb hard drive my Xbox becomes unresponsive please help!!

    Does the same thing happen if you download your game to the internal hard drive?

    I'm thinking there might be a problem with the external hard drive.

    Sorry to hear you're having issues. Unfortunately you cannot download a game from the PC to an external drive. However, if you have a friend who will let you connect your console to their internet you can download it that way.

    I have an external hard drive and before the game was install on the console hard drive and the DLC on the external.

    This night I changed the default install location and download the DLC for the third time.

    It's seems to work know.

    No, there's no external hard drive. This is my first game that I'm downloading, earlier I've downloaded DLCs and everything was OK.

    Please tell users of the xbox one that once they allow the xbox one to format an external hard drive they will be unable to use this hard drive with there PC. I have very little interest in downloading the games i've played onto it. I mainly wanted to
    download movies from my external hard drive to my xbox one for viewing movies. Same with songs (much like on the ps3 or even the xbox 360) I am very dissapointed with the download as it does not allow me to do this and futher more i now have a useless external
    hard drive!

    Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear that the issue is persistent on the External Hard Drive.

    Have you tried connecting the hard drive to a PC?

    Does the PC recognize the external hard drive?

    Does the external hard drive meet the specifications for the Xbox One?

    If the problem persists, I recommend to try a different external hard drive on the Xbox if possible. One thing we want to make sure, Are the ports on the Xbox One functioning?
