How Does Neverwinter Make Money?

You can also craft your own weapons,gears,outfit,potions,....

I will take my time and enjoy every second of it.....

Free games like Neverwinter & D.C. Universe will help but it does take time.

 

I hope the wave of "free to play" games is over soon.

That only ends with quantity instead of quality.

Thats how it always is at some point you can predict what will bug you the most about the free to play game ones you played it.

I don't see no wave.....

And free to play games on Xbox are more about quality (World of tanks,Warframe,Neverwinter,...)

But nobody ask you to play them.

At least,the release of Nerverwinter,will gives to some us,the opportunity to play a MMORPG on Xbox one.

 

played the game with a couple friends on pc a while ago. from what I remember, it's not p2w. I know you can get slightly faster, cooler looking mounts, but that's not a big deal.

 

^ I think F2P games can and do offer loads of quality, obviously it's only going by my own experience with some.

Take Warframe for example, I've played it on both PS4 and XB1, between the two version I'm definitely over 100 hours of game time.

In my opinion it's one fantastic game, in fact one of my favourite new gen games so far especially when played with people you know.

I say we need more F2P games like this!

 

I can't wait to jump in, the beta controlled surprisingly well. The game isn't a "looker", but I had fun and that's all that really matters

 

I quite impress by the quality and devs support in some free to play games.

And agree,Warframe is a good example.

Neverwinter seems to follow this path,too.

 

I played the original NWN along with all the expansion packs...so much fun. Well until I got lost in a everlasting winter storm. Wonderful game. This new one will be going on my want list.

 

Coming from World of Warcraft, how limited is this game content and character wise if you don't spend any money?

 

I can't wait for this game. I'll definitely be putting a ton of hours onto it.

If you're coming from WoW, EQ2, Rift, etc and expecting something comparable you'll be disappointed. It doesn't have the end game content to keep you, it becomes a grind or you'll be paying for the gear score to advance.

1 to level cap ( 60 if I remember correctly) is worth the playtime and won't cost you anything. This is a mediocre MMO at best when compared to what's available on the PC but on the console it will be a unique experience and worth playing.

I'll be playing it on Tues with the hope that the console crowd won't have the "gear score or kick" mentality that is common in PC MMO's but even if it doesn't I'll still play to cap to kill some time but this isn't a MMO you'll sink years into like WoW,
EQ, etc.

 

Expensive expansion packs on PC anyway

 

Those aren't expansion packs, they are unlocking different races, mounts, character slots and they significantly reduce grinding with xp boost, etc. All the area content, quest are available to everyone.

I would assume the pricing model will be the same on the One, they still need to pay for servers, GM's and dev's and that's how they make their money.
