How does multiplayer and coop stuff work?

It's been a while since I last played on my 360 but I'm getting the itch to try out this new one.
If for example my brother and I have a unit each can we play online together on the same servers so we can team up and does this work with friends as well?

The last time I was really into this was back in the days of Quake II and Wireplay!

If you haven't picked it up...don't. Unless your one of the camping types with horrible internet. First night/day this game was awesome. Connections were good and every game was fast paced an fun.

Today people walk through 4 shots and drop you with 2. Constant camping in every game type I played. Every ones sitting in corners or laying down some where with a thermal sniper and poor aim. Crazy how fast it got boring and slow.

 

Hey guys I recently bought the xbox one and have been having problems with advanced warfare online.

I bought an asus monitor and a wired controller for my 360 for the best multiplayer experience and had zero problems with input lag and other problems similar to that. But playing advanced warfare on my xbox one it seems like there is a slight delay and
it bugs the hell out of me. It feels like I'm at a disadvantage and it's really frustrating. I bought a micro usb cord to make my controller wired and that doesn'tt seem to work. I don't know if it has to do with my controller, input lag, connection (wireless)
and I wanted to get some opinions before I I go spend more money on an ethernet cord. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!!

 

It's not input lag he's referring to. Your input lag in particular should be outstanding from the looks of it. What you're experiencing and what the OP is referring to is the beauty of the Call of Duty Franchise, good ol' internet Lag Compensation. One of
the major reasons I stopped playing the MP for this franchise.

 

wow they really do care about their customer base, seems like i made the wise decision of not buying this, whats the point if your win or loss is purely down to connection issues thanks to infinity or whoever

 

its good as long as you have a good connection. If your connection is a little laggy be ready to have your a$$ handed to you.

Yep I have a great connection too and one match I will go 4-12 and the next will be a 15-5 match.

The lag compensation punishes you for having a good connection.

Clearly, you don't understand how CoD MP works as its been lke this for years.

 

Necro you are so spot on. Seriously every year sledgehammer has made a cod or treyarch, my ISP offers great internet speeds which I purchase but get abused online mp wise. What coincidence. Other regulars on here can attest to my gripes over LAG COMPENSATION
over the last 3 cods.

 

i dont think it has anything to do with your internet, ive played on ghosts for months on a great connection and a few months on talk talk (worst ever connection) and they both played exactly the same, i think its just a take it in turns thing, they try
to share it out but even when i win at ghosts or get the highest score im thinking am i good or is it my turn for the lag comp cr?p, dont see much point in playing tbh

 

To the op. Borrow it from a friend and play mp and see if you have issues.

Me along with a lot of others have been plagued with lag comp. which makes a lot of matches unplayable.
