  1. How does good sharing work

I have a Xbox one and now my son has his own Xbox one can we share gold as well as games have seen we need to make each others Xbox our home Xbox but is that it or is there a way to sign in as we both want to play together just seems expensive if we both
have to have separate gold accounts

    :)

Yes, you would just need to set each other's consoles as your Home console in order to share games. Whoever has purchased the gold will be able to use gold on whatever console they want, but the other person will only be able to use the gold subscription
on the console that is set as the Home console.

BoneheadblokeJR, please allow me to provide you a scenario. Let's say you own the Xbox Live Gold subscription and your son doesn't have it. However, he owns a Call of Duty game. For you to be able to play his game, your son will just need to set his account
as Home Xbox to your own Xbox One console. Now for your son to be able to play his own game online, you then need to set your account as Home Xbox to his console.

Allow me to remind you that setting an account as Home Xbox, this can only be done once per console and three times per year. Therefore, if you set your account as Home Xbox to your son's console, then you set it to a friend's console, your Home Xbox would
be removed from your son. This way, your son won't be able to play online and you've already done the setup 2 times already. Let's then say, you reset your Home Xbox to your son's console again for the third time, in case you would set it up again as Home
Xbox to a friend's console one more time, a message would prompt you that you've reached the 3 times per year limit already. For this, you will just need to contact a Tech Support so they can have your Home Xbox get reset.

For you to be able to set your account as Home Xbox, you need to sign-in a Microsoft Account Email to Xbox One > SETTINGS > ALL SETTINGS > PERSONALIZATION > HOME XBOX > THIS IS MY HOME XBOX. If it indicated a statement that says "This is not my Home Xbox"
then this means that the Home Xbox has been activated.

How does Xbox live and game sharing work?

Let me explain it to you

No matter what console an account is signed into you should always be able to play your digital games and use your gold.

You can set ONE console as your profiles home console and any other profile on that console then can play your digital games and use your gold without you being signed in.

You can switch which console you have set as your home console FIVE times a year.

Now in your situation are you able to play your brothers games? Or does it give you a message that "do you own this game or app if so sign in with the account that owns this game"

If you want to play your brothers games you would need to sign into his account on your xbox and set your xbox as his profiles home xbox. then you should be able to play his digital games and if he has a gold subscription you should be able to use his gold
    also.

Now you said you bought a month of gold sometimes the system memory will think that you dont have gold so to clear the system memory you can:

    1. hold down the power button on the front of the console for about 5 seconds for the system to power down.

    2. unplug the system power for approximately a minute.

    3. plug back in the power.

    4. power back up and sign into your account and see if you can start a party or join a multiplayer game.
