How does Battlefield 4 play on XB1?

just sent back my PS4 (long story short.. missed XB) but my fav game was BF4, I know it had problems (on PS4 it was error codes, losing saves and dashboarding) but since the last 2 updates its seemed to of gone away. Just wanted to know if its working fine
on XB1 before I buy it again.

Or are there problems that still happen on XB1 version?

No more crashes, My SP save has stayed in tact for a few weeks now, that side has improved although there's a lot of laggy servers out there on Conquest Large. It's playable most of the time.

just came to xb1 from ps4 and loved BF4 on it apart from at the start there where quite a few crashes that happened and save's lost, heard it was same story on XB1 also. But the last 1 week on BF4 on PS4 was fine, seemed to have ironed crashes and glitches.

just wanted to know if its the same (have they improved it) on XB1 before I buy it.

I'm not having any problems..other than being a complete noob in multiplayer, but that's my problem

Only thing that annoys me with BF4, is waiting in Queue, as most ranked matches are full. Should have a couple of more servers in my opinion, but hey, not a big deal as the wait time is usually just a couple of mins.

 

Net code issues are still the same on all platforms. Dash boarding and crashes do not happen anymore or not much.

 

It's still pretty buggy. Lot of lag creeping in lately and the European servers are non-existent in some game modes.

 

It has been good for me over the past month or so, no problems and only odd restart before I get into a match, but no boot outs to home screen.

I played through campaign over last few days, and had no problems with game play or saving.

Though it does show 5/7 weapons on one section when in game it says 3/3, just got to

last night I experienced slight rubber banding for the first time... was annoying... but seemed only to happen on the long walks from flag to flag... that 3 steps forward 2 steps back type...

 

It's slowly getting better but in terms of multi-player I feel the game still has issues.

Typically I manage to play 2-3 games before being thrown out half-way through a game. Not too big an issue when playing alone (but still multi-player) but is a massive issue when trying to play as part of a party. (Dropping out of BF4 also drops you from
the active party hence you spend ages get back into party, restarting game and then trying desperately to get back into same game as your friends).

Also teams are still seriously mismatched - hence matchmaking non-existent.

Personally I wouldn't bother with the game - but guess it depends on how much you can "put up" with.

@iBakez - are you in the UK/USA/somewhere else? (As I suspect different regions could have different problems)...I'm in the UK. Also do you have Premium (as I think Premium users appear to have less issues than us "plebs")?

Bf4 WAS a complete mess. An absolute embarrassment to release a game in this state. But, these days the game runs pretty well. Not sure I'd say it's 100% all the time, but it's definitely playable now and has been for the last 6 weeks or so.

 

@Satsumo - Hey bud I'm in the UK and am also a pleb when it comes to premium! (although i do have second assault)

 

I'm still losing campaign saves. I've given up on the single player. MUltiplayer has some lag issues, but they troubleshooted many of the other issues already. Other than that, my biggest complaint is collusion and hit detection inconsistency.

 

Played for about 3 hours yesterday. No crashes, or any problems at all. Slight bit of lag at times but I am an Aussie and I was playing on an US server. It has got a lot better than it was at the start. Although I do predict that next week there will be
a huge drop in players for a little while, what with Titanfall being released. I know where I will be.
