How do you transfer a gamertag to a different Microosoft account?

About a year ago I created a new Microsoft account, forgetting that I already had an Xbox account (gamertag) I could have used instead (I was not using it at the time). I have since revived the Xbox account (it has various gamerpoints and achievements attached)
and I would now like to link it to the Microsoft account I created last year (the latter currently has a randomly generated and completely unused Xbox gamertag attached). Unfortunately I cannot find any way to do so. There is an official support page on this

But unfortunately the instructions appears to apply only to the 360 (which I no longer have) and there is no apparent way to transfer the gamertag either via the web or (puzzlingly) on the Xbox One which I do have. Am I missing something? Any input gratefully

Hello. Several years ago I bought my son an Xbox One. I set up a gamertag for him using my own Microsoft Account. He's been playing using that account for several years., he's collected achievements, we've purchased games and are using a Live subscription. Now
he's older and I would like to not have all this happening on my Microsoft Account.

I've created a new Microsoft Account using his email address. I would like to know how I can transfer his gamertag (including purchases, subscriptions, achievements, etc ) to this new Microsoft Account. How do I do this?

 

I also have this issue but mine gamer tag is linked to my girl friends email and now my Xbox one calls me by her name. I need my gamer tag under my own email but it seems the only way is by using a 360 and it wasn't simple on there either but I don't have
one now.

Why can't we do it on Xbox.com???

 

At this time an Xbox 360 is required to change the Microsoft Account linked to your Gamer tag. There is no other way to link your GT to another MSA
