    No, you simply need to install the xbox app. Once you login the app you can send messages and also join or start a party chat.

    I have to download an app because the website is incapable of sending messages? lol wow even Sony figured this out. Nintendo is going to have a better online infrastructure by the end of this generation. What a trainwreck.

    Aside from what others have said, have you tried clearing your cookies and cache in the browser you are trying to use?

    Also what happens when you try to send a message through the website, does it just not send, give you an error message or something else?
