how do you remove someone else's microsoft account from an xbox one

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have question on removing account. On the console from the main screen. Hit the guide button, the Xbox button on the controller that lights up. Go to the far left top icon then to settings. go down
to account then over to remove accounts. This is where you can remove the account. If there are games on it also, you could do a

full factory reset. Select the option to reset and remove everything.

The XBox account is intrinsically linked to your Microsoft account...so you would, in effect, be giving him your Microsoft account as well. An Xbox account cannot be removed from a Microsoft account. Not to mention giving someone else your account details is against the TOS

Ok I signed in and in order to investigate I had to add this card to my account. It wasn't there to begin with. I was hoping what you were saying is that investigating would tell me whose Microsoft account has my card linked to it. I already knew what card of mine it was charged to It WAS in fact an Xbox game. How do I go about removing it from someone else's account?
