    how do I go about playing video games on xbox one without going online(to xbox live) basically how do I skip it

    Could you not sign into a profile from the Home screen? And load the game after that.

    How do you play games without internet?

    My xbox is not connected to anything. I have tried to select my profile and tells me i need to connect to xbox live. have tired to start/restart multiple times, i load game and foces me to select a profile and when i select mine.(its the only one there,
    and even tried deleting mine, now i have zero profiles on the xbox) still forces me to connect to live to "sign in" there must be a way around this.....

    If you purchase disc games instead of online games ,do they still need to download before playing or can they be played like a Xbox 360 game, put in disc and play?

    Your profile is already on there?

    Make sure the box is not connected to anything, then log in. You will only sign in to the offline version of the account (as it cannot connect to Live).

    Then you just load up the games and it should let you start playing.

    The only hindrance to offline playing is the Day One Update, but you said that's been done so you should be fine.
