How do you people get the remote play function to work?

The thing is when you buy a new product you should want to be able to do as much stuff out the box as possible. xbox one with out kinect = most the functionallity gone. for example the wii u does remote play out the box. ps 4 does remote play but you have
to buy a vita. why do some people want to buy mot things separately to get all the functionality out of it?

figured it out, lots of people are having this issue.

you need to connect directly to the ps4 unfortunately to get the game running, if you launch minecraft via remote then none of the sign ins will work. once started directly on the console then you can use remote login and all functions for the game will work.

no other way around it.

do you have any screen at all at home with hdmi, if so just hook that up to start the game initially.

Is this thread still being monitored? I tried the suggested alternate codes for my

Insignia NSR5101HD.. Code 2472 allows mute/Unmute functions to work from Kinect. No other functions - power or volume do not work. The other suggested codes do not work at all - no functions work when I select those. I really wish the Kinect had a
learning mode where you could teach it the IR codes from the remote itself like my Logitech Harmony remote.

i also have a question or certain questions about the remote play. i want to really understand how remote play functions like all the ins and outs. so my first question is, are you allowed to use remote play when the console is off? because i tried the opposite of that Friday and it worked but if i were to turn the console completely off am i still able to access my games and play them through the Xbox app when the system is turned off?

Huh? Remote Play is nothing to do with Xcloud or Game Pass. And if it won't work, then how can they get it working on their Android device? And they have an Xbox so that's not the issue.

They are trying to Remote Play their Series X games from their Series X console to their PC via the Remote Play feature and using the Xbox App. This should work without an issue, as it does with their Android device. There is nothing on the Remote Play page to suggest Game Pass is needed
