    How do you login into an Xbox account on a back compatible game as when I go to download...


    I am trying to play Black Ops 2 and to sign into my account on the 360 dashboard there is only a download profile option. When i go to download profile it starts to check my network status and says there is an error but after checking if there is an error it turns out there isn’t an error. Any idea how to sign in?

    have you checked in the my games and apps tab on your home screen: top right corner? Press that and check your list that says ready to install. When you get xbox 360 games that are backwards compatible, you have to manually select them to download.

    If you are talking about using the digital download codes, you can login to your xbox live account on xbox.com. Enter the code there and then go into xbox one and manually download the game.

    Hi,

    As some additional information. to the answer already specified.

    The backward compatible game while it is the same game the download is basically different version of the game, being the backward compatible version of the game. This is also the reason why inserting a backward compatible game via disc will result in the
    backward compatible version being downloaded (disk is still required to start the game)

    So in order for you to download that backward compatible version you will have to login to the Xbox Live Account that is used on the 360, which allows you to download backward compatible games that you own.

    Hello Thomas,

    Please make sure that the profile of the second person is also available and logged in your Xbox One.

    Next when you open the game with your main profile, press both View and Menu buttons to open the guide, so you can close your session from that backwards compatible game (not from the Xbox One).

    Afterwards using the controller of the second person to open the guide of the backwards compatible game and log in with that account credentials in order to download / create the profile needed.

    Finally, get back in the game by login yourself in.

    Alternatively you can use the second person profile to launch the Xbox 360 game and create/login with that profile directly.
