How do you get Left 4 Dead 2 digitally?

I’ve tried going on Microsoft website (phone,iPad, computer) and it won’t work, and of course you can’t buy it from the console.

unfortunately the game Left 4 Dead 2 has been removed from Microsoft's digital stores some time ago, and cannot be purchased this way, only on physical media.

The game has not been delisted. You can still get it from the Xbox 360 marketplace here https://marketplace.xbox.com/Product/Left-4-Dead-2/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d802454108d4 . The website is a bit finicky though. So keep trying, you should get it eventually.

If you can't get them there, that usually means the games are not available for purchase digitally in your region.

You can buy it on physical disc, or if it's available in your region you can buy it digitally from Xbox.

That would be something that's up to the publishers/developers. There are many reasons they may not be available though.
