How do you get drones to fly higher?

How do you get the flying onions to actually raise off the ground?

Every time I use one they seem to just hover at ground level. But i'm seeing others flying high?

How do I get the to increase height?

I've tried all buttons on the joypad?

Very Disappointed in Microsoft

Maybe someone in the Military could fly a Drone over Microsoft headquarters until they ending this insane Xbone idea.

Ended up giving it away to a friend of mine though as I didn't have an iPhone to be able to fly it.

 

I'm on the 360 but the controls should be the same. RB to fly higher and LB to fly lower.

 

I should also add that sometimes if you're hiding by standing next to a building, the onion might get stuck on the ledge above you so you should either move your onion outwards before flying higher or position yourself a little farther away from the building.

I thought I tried RB and LB but maybe it was stuck by a ledge or something.

 

I'll thank you for this tip as well I was stuck flying at the same height unable to do anything effective. I'll give this a whirl if I play tonight!

 

RB = higher LB = lower... look at the ability graphics there are up and down arrows for those buttons.

 

Speaking of drones, I had someone in my game in voice chat say that I was a *** for my cactus sitting there and not doing anything while I was flying my onion. I told him it was a special ability. Sounded like a kid. People need to learn what each plant
does and their special ability before they call people names. I typically host my own games. Thanks for the tips on how to fly the onion higher. I have wondered that myself.

 

It's unfortunate that the Maps aren't mapped out very well for the drone. Lot's of "invisible walls" blocking giant gaps in buildings or shortcuts.
