How do you get a refund anymore?

Long story short I preordered Anthem in early January. Friends were hyped etc, but as reviews started coming out that hype waned until no one wanted to buy/play. This was 4 days before public release on Xbox (available on EA for 3 days). I had not loaded
the game, and went to MS to request a refund. I called and went through their process for a refund and was denied due to the game being released and I had purchased the preorder in Jan. My question is: How exactly do you get a refund anymore? If something
like this is no longer worth one, then what is the point in ever preordering again (saying an item can't be returned even though it's not released to public.)

So I'm asking the community what can be done. I'm out $60 for a game I uninstalled without playing, and attempted to cancel before release,

If the refund gets denied, feel free to reply directly to the "refund denial email" and explain why you'd like a refund in detail.

If you haven't already, you can reply to the email you received denying the refund to contact the refund specialist as well.
