    How do you fix the storage expansion card not being detected?


    My Xbox series S updated while I was asleep and the next morning my storage expansion card was no longer working. My Xbox doesn't detect it. All my games that were on that card are missing from my installed games because of this. Is there a solution to this because I have tried almost everything except factory resetting my console. My regular hard drive still functions as normal. I have tried unplugging the card and plugging it back in, tried turning off my Xbox, I tried cycling the power by holding down the Xbox button. I don't know what to do. But right now I have a $160 useless memory card in my Xbox.

    Here are the troubleshooting steps we will perform:

    Please reinsert the expansion card. Remove the card from the back of the console, wait for about 30 seconds, then reinsert the card firmly into the storage expansion slot.

    And then check storage settings.Kindly press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage. If you don’t see the Storage Expansion Card listed, repeat step 1.

    Next is to check for fiirmware updates. To do this, please check the Seagate website for any available updates for your specific model.

    They already do. That is the seagate expansion card

    you can move the games to the platter drive for storage.

    Are you referring to the Expansion card for 1TB extra storage? If you are then yes, this can get very warm to the touch. Totally normal and within the design of the expansion card.

    I'm sorry to inform you that it is not possible to use two Seagate Storage Expansion Cards at the same time on Xbox Series X|S consoles. The architecture and design of the console only allow for the connection of a single storage expansion card, and there are no adapters or hubs available to connect two storage expansion cards.
