I am a brand new owner of an Xbox one s. How do we play a game from inserting disc without having to download it to the console?

What would it be better to buy gta 5 from

Hi guys I'm thinking about buying gta 5 for the xbox one but can't decide on should I buy from the xbox store or buy it on disc. So my question is how long would it take to download it from the xbox store or how long would it take to installed the game on disc. I know it has to do with my internet speed I think it might 10mph or 20 idk is there any way I can check that on my xbox one what would be faster download or disc. I know bf4 and bfh it took about 30min to an hour to install on disc both are around the same gb as gta 5.

When you insert a disc and start to play it, it will automatically install.

In order to be eligible for the Minecraft beta, you have to own the digital version. The disc version is not eligible.

@Chute how exactly is your xbox one downloading content from servers when you are installing a disc?

From what I understand, the Xbox One isn't really reading game data from the disc. I *think* this is how it works:

1. Insert 360 game disc of game that is confirmed to be compatible.

2. Xbox One reads the title of the game, then queues a free *download* of their compatible version.

3. When you play the game, the Xbox One is reading data from the version downloaded to your hard drive, not from the physical disc.

That was the original plan. You can still just download straight from your Xbox One. No discs. That's how I roll. lol.
