    How do you disable vibration in the Xbox mobile app while linked to console


    I have been forwarded here to make a post by a xbox support team member to get additional support.

    I'm struggling to figure out how to disable vibration on my phone when I use the xbox app remote. When I chat someone while remote is active the phone vibrates. I use the app to use the keyboard for convenience.

    I have checked both phone, app and inside app settings and no vibration is turned on.

    My phone is also on mute.

    I feel the vibration is being forced and doesn't have any option on the app itself to disable it. This is a feature that needs to be added on the xbox smartglass to disable have a choice between vibration or not when you chat someone on console while app
    is active to use the keyboard.

    Well Sting I too know what you mean when you say you use the app for the keyboard, talk about a lifesaver haha. Now as far as turning off the vibration goes to my knowledge there isn't a way to disable it. I do understand it can be misleading and even
    annoying when you rack up those achievements and get spammed by a friend wanting you to join their party but I have also just looked through my phone and the app but found nothing. However, try turning off notifs entirely and see if that helps when you aren't
    actively using it.

    I just tried disabling vibration while it was in one of its vibration fits and it just kept vibrating. seems the only way to get it to stop is to shut off my console.

    Did you check the app Xbox Acessories to see if vibration is disable there?

    From what I've been able to read it doesn't seem as though you can disable vibration from the console. If vibration is supported within the game try checking out the menu to disable the vibrations.

    If your controller is wired I thing could be damaged, and a little vibration can disconnect it, in my opinion you can disable vibration to solve your problem you can disable vibration by:

    Xbox guide-Preferences-Vibrations-enable disable vibation
