    How do you block random users from messaging you?


    So I've been getting random messages from people with 0 Gamerscore telling me to go to a site and there's no report option for scam so I block them but they continue to make new accounts and message me. How can I block messages from random people?

    Is it possible to message anyone other than people on your friends list through the Xbox itself? The messaging service on this website gives me an error when I click messages. I can't figure out how to do it on glass either. I can select my friends but no
    option to add a gamertag. This was my only way of getting groups on Destiny LFG. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Here is the error I get on xbox.com - Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

    Great that is going to work! Thanks. I wish my computer would work with the website again copy/paste is so much easier.

    How do you block random users from messaging you?

    Yep the saferaffle crew is out and about..i just been ignoring them. I saw another guy who had a ton of them reported but i'm not trying to make the support peeps job any harder as these people just keep making different tags. I don't think blocking will
    help much as it's random users. When i see a msg pop up and it's no one i know i won't even bother until the end of the day..game on.

    If you want to block messages from people not on your friends list, go to
    account.xbox.com/Settings     and change Communicate with voice and text to Friends only.

    The page says some of the settings are for the 360 only but they do seem to have been carried across to the One for me. However if they don't for you then the same option is on your One at Settings, Privacy & Online Safety, and then Custom.

    Surely a bread and butter question for an Ambassador.

    I set mine to friends only but still managed to get 2 messages today

    Which, as an ambassador, is what concerns me AND doesn't make it an easy cookie-cutter answer. I myself have received a few of these "spam scam" messages - 2 alone today!

    I was looking at your profile and it says you block all communications from random friend requests or messages? That's a little extreme. I also hate getting random friend requests but how else are you gonna meet people if you don't accept random messages?
