    So I just got an Xbox series S and made my account. I wanted to see how everything worked. In the beginning when setting up the console I put that wanted it to have a PIN or some security instead of the no barriers option. You know for protection if someone wanted steal my information or for something like that so it made sense to me to put in. At first everything worked fine. I started downloading all the nostalgic games I’ve been wanted wanting to play since was kid. I mean that’s the reason I got this console for the reverse compatibility. I started all the gears of war games and fallout new Vegas and 3. Now can’t play those games with my account that just I set up because I can’t sign back in. I feel like I tried hundreds times on my own but I can’t fix it. I honestly forgot how I signed out at this point nor did I think it cause me this much frustration when I did. PLEASE HELP ANYONE! THIS IS MAKING WANT TO JUST RETURN THE DAMN THING.

    I'm sorry for your situation, and I understand your frustration.
    Unfortunately, it's not clear to me if you are unable to access your Xbox account from your console or if you're having trouble accessing it from a PC as well.

    If the issue is on your console, I suggest, if possible, removing your account and then re-adding it. To do this, follow these steps with your controller: Profile and system > Settings > Account > Remove account. After removing it, restart the console and then re-enter your account.

    If this doesn't work, you can try resetting the console.
    To do this

    Press the Xbox button to open the Guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    You can choose between resetting and removing everything or resetting and keeping games and apps. I suggest starting with the second option first, and then perform the reset and remove everything only if the issue is not resolved by keeping games and apps.

    It's important you know that "Reset and remove everything" restores the console to factory default settings. All user data, including accounts, saved games, settings, home Xbox associations, and all games and apps, will be deleted.

    Thank you for coming to the forums, I'd be happy to help.

    That message leads me to believe that your account is being signed into elsewhere since an account can only be signed into the Xbox Live service on one device at a time. The message and the fact that you are getting logged out of the game and everything
    is fixed once you log back into the Xbox, forcing the account to sign out from the other device it was signed into. Has your account been added to any other console's or PC's?

    Best thing to do first is to make sure your account isn't being signed in by someone else on another device, and then changed your password to prevent signing in from another device.

    To start things out, which device are you using the Xbox app on? Since this began, have you tried signing out from your account, removing the app, redownloading it, and signing back in? If not, give that a go and let us know if it helps :)

    I'm using my Xbox one console, not the app. and its just weird I've signed out, rebooted my Xbox, uninstalling apps and unpinning then redoing it. I just have a problem with my pins rearranging themselves every time I go back to the home section of the dashboard
    from a game or app.
