    How do I watch tv on Xbox one Smartglass?


    No matter how many times I've tried to set up cable box with xbox one it never fails to have problems. I could never control my cable box and have had many different providers this has been an issue since the xbox one was first released and nobody is able to clarify the problem except for the fact that the original xbox one uses hdmi 1.4 and that my cable box is 4k. Although this seems like the likely issue its not because even when my cable box wasn't 4k it was never supported on my xbox one the fact that others are able to watch tv through xbox oneguide and use it to control the cable box is really unacceptable. All the xbox one consoles do this and I'm not surprised they removed this feature for the series x. If I could watch oneguide with console companion it wouldn't be an issue but if I were to rate the experience I had watching tv through the oneguide on xbox one since the first release I would give it 0/10 and just say don't even bother setting up cablebox on xbox because its garbage having to choose between watching tv and gaming therefore if you want to do both just stream your game to your computer and unplug your cable from your xbox. Again 0/10 thanks.

    Good news, but it doesn't do me a lick of good considering I can't watch TV through my Xbox One (no cable box) and can't use SmartGlass effectively (no tablet or smartphone). :(
