How do I use my Microsoft Account Currency and my credit card to combine?

So about a month ago I bought a game with my Microsoft account currency, and topped it with my credit card. I'm about to buy another game but I forgot how? So my question is how do I use my Microsoft account currency topped with my credit card?

For an example I bought Destiny with my Microsoft account currency which decreased it to 59.14. After that all I had to pay was 59.14 with my credit card.

How do I use the new Microsoft currency (previously points) to purchase a downloadable game? When I choose the game to download, the only payment option is my credit card. How can I access the currency I have in my account to use to purchase a game?

Purchasing this add-on ("Party Rock Anthem" - LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock) for Dance Central 2 using my available $2.64 in microsoft account

May I enquire how do I purchase the above content using the currency in my microsoft account first, and topping up using a credit card?

After I add the card, there was no option to choose the microsoft account, only my credit card option. And the amount states $3.99 including tax.

Please guide me. Thanks!

When purchasing content on the console the system will ask for the alternate payment method. If you don't have an option to choose currency then it will take your currency first and then cover the balance from the other payment method automatically.

Yes, the cards are out. LegendOfGTa, The Microsoft currency I had turned into cash in my account. I tried using the 7 dollars I had left on it plus use Credit card. ... hmmm now you make me wonder. If it is because I combined it..

The best way to get through this would be to pay with the money you have on your account, then use a credit card or PayPal to make up the difference. Though there is no immediately visible option to combine payment this way, it CAN be done, as outlined here:

"Can I split payment between my local currency and a credit card?"

"Yes, if the amount of local currency in your Microsoft account is not sufficient to pay for the content, you can charge the remainder to your credit card or Paypal account (Paypal availability varies by region). However, you must first select to purchase
using your credit card or Paypal account and then you will see the option to use the remaining currency in your account."

You've kind of combined two different things. Did you use Microsoft Rewards points for an Xbox gift card or did you redeem gems from the Xbox Rewards program for rewards credits?

If the refund is showing on http://commerce.microsoft.com, that means you had that currency added to your account.

I used my gems for gift cards
