how do i use IPv6 instead of IPv4
IPv6 is not really needed in the household, but ISP's use ipv6 with ipv4 or just ipv6 externally, this is automatically done by the router so nothing to setup, if you want ipv6 inside the house then you need to access your router settings.

If you have ipv6 assigned by your ISP then your xbox will see this.

My Xbox One S won't connect to Xbox Live using ipv4.

It might be that your ISP is using IPv6 and tunneling IPv4 via CG-NAT and DS-Lite.

While IPv6 is generally a Good Thing to have (as the Xbox One primarily uses IPv6, and even if you only have IPv4, it will use IPv6 tunneled through IPv4), you might want to check with your ISP if they offer you a "Dual Stack" connection with IPv6 and a
    real public IPv4 in parallel.

There really isn't much you can do on the console itself, as it does check automatically what IP protocol your ISP provides, and if it's IPv6, then the console will use IPv6. If it's a Dual Stack, where you have IPv4 natively (not tunneled through IPv6)
and IPv6, then the console will use both, and if it's an IPv4 connection, it'll tunnel IPv6 through IPv4 through Teredo.

    Party disconnects

Both of us are hardwired up, so this isn’t the case. He said something about using IPV6, instead of IPV4. So I’m wondering if that has anything to do with.

how do i get my xbox to use ipv6 instead of ipv4?

Hi Kevin. My name is Kyle and I’m an independent advisor.

Your Xbox will automatically connect with IPv6 if your network supports it. There are some routers which support IPv6 but disable it by default, you may need to check your router settings to make sure it’s enabled.

For help with checking your router settings, contact your router manufacturer or internet provider.

    Ipv6

Last reply didnt help how do i install ipv6 xbox
IPv6 is not something you can manually put on xbox. IPv6 is used by some providers because of a lack of IPv4 addresses.
