How do I upload a custom gamerpic from PC?

I went to

https://account.xbox.com/CustomizeProfile to see if I could set a custom gamerpic and there are only options for premade pictures. I remember a few years ago that <18 year olds couldn't change their gamerpic to something custom. I've since turned 18 and can't find a way to change the gamerpic. I don't have an Xbox or the Xbox app, only a Linux PC. I would really rather not have anything to do with Microsoft, but this Mojang to Microsoft transition unfortunately makes that impossible.

Thank you for replying. I now understand that it has to be done through the app. But that raises another question; what is the reasoning for Microsoft not allowing the gamerpic to be changed through a web browser?

I'm really sorry but they designed it that way though. Most likely, it was done to make sure that the quality of the image can be checked properly if it's done though the app.

What I can help you with your problem is by giving you the following information with the possible solution

Go to Profile & System, choose your profile, and then select My Profile. Select Customize Profile > Change Player Picture. Select Upload a custom image and choose the one you want to use from your connected device.
