How do I turn off the jingle when I turn on/off my Xbox one?

Because I don't like to wake up family, I was wondering if there was a way to turn off that jingle that plays when I turn on and off my xbox one.

With the Summer Update every console sound is turned on by default, even if you turn the console on or off with the controller. The console makes the loud "Turn On Jingle" and "Turn Off Jingle" which is the most annoying thing ever, and also makes it very
uncomfortable to use at night, when the family would like to sleep. I haven't found a way to turn these silly sounds off. Is there a way to turn them off, because if not, then please tell the dashboard engineers ASAP that we should have the option for that,
because this makes the console extremely annoying to use. It's beyond me how on Earth it could be part of the update without an option to turn it off. We would like our silent turn on/off back!

 

xbox sends reverse commands to my direct tv box

When I turn my xbox one on it turns my direct tv box off, when the one goes off the direct tv comes on. How do I fix this?

 

I don't think there is really a way to turn it off.

The jingle isn't really that loud. It's probably less than 10 decibels.

 

I'm pretty sure this didn't exist before the latest update when you used the controller to turn on/off the console and only happened when you actually used the power button? Or could I be that wrong about it? In case I'm not wrong then I don't see the reason
why this had to be changed...

 

You're correct, the jingle came with the last Update. Prior to that, you could only get the jingle sound by physically touching the touch sensitive power button on the console. I think it's ok this change but for some they may not want it.

 

Open it up and disconnect the speaker. Seriously. There's a tiny speaker on the top and you can just simply unplug it.
