    how do i turn off all outside access to my xbox?


    so my sisters kid is highly autistic and has a sadistic side, he likes to torment anyone he can, so a try's everything he can to cast his many screens on to every bodies screens that he can find, so far ive had to uninstall groove music, microsoft photos, movies and TV, pandora, VUDU, and youtube.

    at this point im pretty furious that my sister refuses to stop giving her kid smart phones so he can screw with everything, so now im here, i have disabled remote access for the xbox app entirely, that didnt help at all because all of the apps above just go around that, they dont even need to have the same account, so i even saw the other posts about this {being that this is a massive security issue that needed to be fixed 6 years ago, and has only gotten worse over time} and ive done the full hard restart and everything, now im down to asking is there anything else i can do?

    as some more info, my wireless setup in my xbox one s is insanely unstable so im stuck with being wired directly into the router, so i cant exactly do anything in that section with out dropping buko bucks on a second router to separate wired from wireless

    The achievements don't have any effect anyway except from adding gamerscore to your account. I wouldn't worry too much about them.

    There's no way to turn them off. You can turn off notifications for them in your console's settings if that would help ignore them.

    Hmmmm? I been on my 360 every day for like 2 weeks playing Borderlands2 and haven't had this happen. I didn't even know they did something like this, pretty good idea thow cause man I start playing a good game and before u know it , it's been 6,7 hrs later
    and I'm like holy crap were did the time go.? But I could definitely see this getting to be a pain while trying to play a game, especially if ur playing multi player. ?.

    Hey, thanks for reaching out! Well, firstly, I have plenty of room on all of my drives, soooooooooooooo that is not a factor. I have my Xbox One X set to stand by as my power setting. And I do have my external drives set to turn off when my Xbox is turned
    off. The "When Xbox is off, turn off the storage" is chosen in my settings. And I have my default drive as my external WD 4TB. With all that said, my Xbox is not choosing where a file is already sitting. And my
    Xbox sees all of my drives all of the time.

    I will try the "When Xbox is off, turn off the storage" as unchecked. Maybe that will make a difference . . . but if my default drive is an external drive . . . . and games are downloading there, new and updates . . . . . and "When Xbox is off, turn off
    the storage" is checked . . . why would anything still be put there if "When Xbox is off, turn off the storage" it's off . .. . . ? I do understand the instructions, but as to what that means as far as "when xbox is this, external drives will do this" setting
    it's hard to differentiate. Because you have the xbox that can be completely shut down vs. stand by, and how does those settings inform the "When Xbox is off, turn off the storage" setting. You tell me.
