    How do I trim a recorded video clip?


    I recorded a clip, and I want to trim it down. It kept wanting me to download a separate app called Upload Studio. I couldn't find anything on the Xbox to trim it, so I ended up just downloading that app. Now, after trimming it, it wants me to share it with
    Upload. I have no idea what that is, other than part of the app's name, but I just want my saved clip trimmed down. I don't want to share it with anyone, or share it with some app. I just want my clip, on my Xbox, trimmed down. How do I do this without the
    extra apps, and sharing it, and pretty much everything else?

    Game Clips not trimming.

    I have the Xbox app on Windows 10 and I have successfully recorded game videos. My problem is that when I try to edit my video clips the trim tool doesn't work, I drag the sliders to where I want and click "trim original" but the original remains untouched.
    I tried saving a new copy of the video (with the trim sliders where I want them), but the new video file that is created becomes corrupt and doesn't work on any video players.

    If anyone can help that would be great, thanks.

    Xbox trimming not working

    I have been trying to trim one of the videos I recorded, and when I go to accept the trim, I will sit for like 10 minutes to eventually have it say error we can not trim your clip. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi. Thanks for the link. When I open Game DVR on my Xbox (One), select the clip, then select "edit," I was never provided the options that link showed. It took me directly to the Upload Studio app download page. With that downloaded, it takes me straight
    into the app. This is becoming such a headache!

    I have a work around for the trim feature not working. I tend to find it works with 2 minute recordings a lot better than with any other size.

    Also rather than load the video editor I tend to trim my clips directly from the recent captures.

    Again, sorry for the delay. This issue started long before the windows update. I noticed it starting to happen around March/April. Before then, I was able to do this swiftly. I also ensured that the app on the Store was updated, which it is. I just tried
    this with a brand new clip that I recorded on my xbox from PUBG. When I download the clip so I can trim it, it crashed the app at 98%. When I reloaded the app, it was in fact downloaded. So I trimmed the original clip which worked fine. But then when I tried
    to upload the clip, it says Sorry, this capture can't be shared We don't recognize this game". I traced the folder on my computer and the path is as follows: C:\Users\Jacob\Videos\Captures. I can play the video on both the xbox app and on my computer, but
    it doesn't want to upload. Do you think this could be a problem with my path or my computer?

    ALSO, the trimming function ON THE XBOX ITSELF doesn't work for me either! I trim a video and it freezes at about 75%. This is so frustrating! It is worth noting that my DVR is set to record 2 minutes at a time. Do you think this has anything to do with

    Using upload studio to splice videos not just trim

    Currently you can only trim videos but you can add multiple sections and trim the clip in multiple ways to mirror a splice.
