How do I transfer save data

I used to have a shared xbox series s and have recently gotten my own xbox series s. I have already set it up but after opening Forza Horizon 5 there was no save data and the game started as if I was a new user. Both xboxes are up to date. they are both xbox Series S. I tried doing a network transfer and all it did was transfer the game and addons but no save data.

Hello Samuel, your game saves are saved in your account that you use to play on Xbox.

You mention that you used a shared Xbox, but what account did you play Forza from, yours or your friend's.

If you played on your friend's account or on some other account that wasn't yours, all your progress stayed on that account.

If it was on your account, just log in with the account on the console and download the game.

Hello again, as I mentioned above, if there is any problem transferring data between one console and another, just put your account on the new Xbox and download the games you want.

I used my own account to play on both consoles

i did not buy them, they came instaled on the new HDD. and once i transfer i loose all data stored on the new HDD. unless it saves THAT kind of data from being deleted.

and it also says i need a gamerprofile to move any data, how do i get around that?
