    How Do I tell if I have my PURCHASED music on my zune is on my computer?


    How do I tell if my PURCHASED music (that i origionally transferred from my XP computer to my zune) is on my current windows VISTA computer? Do I click on my zune device using the zune software and is there some indication that will tell me it's on
    my current computer or not? I need to know so I can do back up my songs before I re-format my zune 30gb.

    I want to switch

    The account for my Zune is the SAME account that I use for my xbox gamer tag. If I use the method above to switch my gamertag to my outlook.com account what affect will this have on my zune account. I do not use a zune pass I have just purchased random music
    with it. And no I cannot sign in to the xbox music with a different account without totally signing out of windows and signing back in, which I do not want to do for obvious reasons. I just want my music and gamer tag on my new outlook.com account.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but the first post in this thread is how to do that right? Well what effect will this have on the music side of the account?

    XBOX Music Download Error on W8 PC

    When I try to download music from Windows 8 XBOX Music app I'm getting a pop up "Download Error" but it doesn't tell me anymore than that. I no longer have the option to buy so I am assuming the purchase has been processed and it seems to play without streaming.
    so is there an error or not? Also where are my music files being stored? I have downloaded music from XBOX Music on my WP8 which I can find in my old Zune folder on my PC, but if purchased on the PC app the files aren't in Zune.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't you be able to see them using the file manager program/application on your PC? If they were moved/copied to your computer, you would be able to find the files, correct?

    In addition to that method, in the Zune software above the list of Artists on the left hand side, there is a drop down menu. Select Show DRM-Free Content.

    DRM on Previously Purchased Content from Zune Marketplace

    You have both helped and disheartened me. I had to replace a hard drive and now I get the DRM problem on almost all of my music. I logged on to the Xbox music and many (not all) of my songs will play there. If it is not a piece in their catalog it does
    not play. As long as I don't plug my Zune into the computer, the music still plays there, but that's not much use of an MP3 player is it? And I can find NOTHING that tells me how to get the music back off the Xbox music collection to the Zune. I guess this
    means I move over to the IPod. Sorry Zune, I love you but...

    can not connect with downloaded music - this is pathetic Microsoft .... FIX NOW or loose a chunk of windows phone users!

    sorry I was frustrated: new phone win 8 and loaded with all my music for the weekend and could not use...

    When I signed on to music pass I could download music on zune downloader on my win 7 computer and on my 8x phone and hen yesterday started getting messages on my phone when trying to play music - we are having trouble playing this try again in a little while.
    My zune account would not play and the message was my licence had expired - I have a 12 month licence... I called xbox and they said that x box and zune were in licence transition and that it could be even a week before lawyers would iron the legalities out...
    How could this possibly happen without this being tested first I asked - we are working on it they said and sent me to zune chat where I had to reset my DRM??? which did not work either...not zune music and no phone music .... There is a growing number of
    blogs regarding this issue....
