    How do I sync a xbox remote to PC?


    I was under the impression that you didn't need an adapter on windows 11 as long as your system was bluetooth capable, but I simply cannot get it to pair. Its telling me that I need to turn my bluetooth on, but the toggle to turn it on and off isn't even there, nor does it appear in the device manager, implying that my system isn't bluetooth capable when I know it is. Even when I try to pair it via usb cable it still refuses to acknowledge that anything is there. It'll vibrate upon plugging it in, but nothing more than that. I used to do this all the time on windows 7 and never had an issue, so I don't understand why this has become so unnecessary complicated.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Having trouble getting the new Xbox 360 Media Remote to work with my Xbox 360 console.

    The A/V Cable Set-up does not matter what I would do is sync it with you Xbox 360 console first, and when using it point it directly at the Xbox 360 console as it's infra-red is not as good as the Xbox 360 game controllers.

    To sync the remote press the sync button on the Xbox 360 console, then press the Xbox button on the media remote.

    The IR port was for syncing (and the remote)... So is the sensor in the Kinect (less the remote), they've said as much... Once synced the controller and "turned off" the Kinect as we can choose to do, what purpose does the sensor serve?
