How do i switch Xbox live accounts without starting a new membership?

On my devices listed and microsoft account it's listed as XboxOne and should be listed as Xbox 360 for original account by accident, How do i switch the Xbox Live Account without starting a new membership? please help

Not really sure what you exactly mean. You have one Xbox Live account, it can sign into either 360 or Xbox One, also other Microsoft products too.

From what you're saying, it sounds like you've registered an xbox one to the 'wrong' Microsoft account?

I recently did a factory reset on my xbox because it was freezing and bugging but when I got back on it said I didnt have xbox live. How do I get it back without paying for a whole new membership?

That did kind of help. but if i try to make a new microsoft account it always wants to attach a new profile to it. if i dont do that then the profile switching doesnt work. how do i create a microsoft account without it wanting to attach a profile?
