    espn - calling plays achievement

    On the ESPN app, any clue how to unlock the "Calling Plays" achievement?

    Says to activate the sportsguide with watching a video in full screen.

    Was watching a video, in ESPN app, full screen, said Xbox, sportsguide. Nothing happens.

    Full screen playback on DVD

    Like icestorm said ,its the format..Has nothing to do with the xbox..You may be able to stretch the picture to fit your screen but that usually looks awful ..Just like having bars on the top and bottom of the screen while watching a blu ray that is shot
    16:9 ,you have to just deal with it ..

    If the original DVD content was formatted for 4:3, it will play at that original format. Stretching to 16:9 may cause the image to look less ideal. Some TV's have aspect settings that may help get the picture you want, be sure to check your TV settings if
    you find an option that works for you.

    Playing dvds in FULL SCREEN

    Hey there demonicale!

    The black bars on each side of the screen are just the resolution that your TV is set to. You can adjust your TV while the DVD is playing to have it stretch to fit the entire screen, if you'd like.

    You can try one other thing while watching TV through your Xbox One. When you have the TV up and running in full screen, hit the button with the three lines (formerly the Start button). Change the screen setting to Stretch. This should do what you need
    it to.

    Note: if your cable box and/or tv are also doing stretching or size adjustment, you may need to experiment.

    Problem to play DVD

    Has to do with the screen display size in the video options. You can adjust them from the play menu (lower one while playing the dvd not the dvd title screen)

    most aspect ratio is controlled by the tv now, the xbox will output whatever ratio is the source, ie, a 4.3 video will either stretch or the tv with compensate and place it into 4:3
