    Hi Folks,

    If I was actually an XBox gamer, I might know the answer to this question, so I thought I would pose it to the experts.

    I have a Lenovo laptop, with a Microsoft 365 Account. I often receive messages asking me if I would like to allow XBox to make

    changes to my PC. The messages usually only happen when there are legitimate updates available for my PC, which XBox

    seems to be able to tag along with Microsoft on, for the benefit of dual Microsoft 365/XBox users. I am just a 365 user,

    not an XBox user, so obviously XBox making changes to my PC is not desired. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Kayece here. An Xbox user, and a gamer like you. Do not worry, I will be here to help and assist you today.

    First, disable automatic updates on the Xbox app.

    Open the Xbox app > Go to Settings > Click General Tab > Scroll down to the Updates Section and toggle off "Keep my games & apps up to date"

    Close the Xbox app

    Second, disable the pop-up notifications from Xbox app by following the steps on the link below.

    Lastly, sign out on your Xbox app. Open the Xbox app > click your profile picture in the top left corner of the app > select "Sign out"

    Restart your device. This should prevent any changes and notifications from Xbox app.

    It was THEIR horrible choice but it will be YOUR fault if it takes hold....

    I certainly love how microsoft is trying to stop all the piracy even though in reality they are just encouraging it. I hate to say it but the xbox one is probably going to be modded more than the 360. And when it does happen, we can just blame microsoft's
    greediness. They certainly have some changes to make if they want to prevent the problem they were trying to fix in the first place.

    LOL! PC's are easier than ever to build and put together. PC gaming is having a revival and xbox one is going to make PC gaming even more appealing. But lets be honest here, the xbox one is just a computer for people too stupid to manage one for themselves.

    It happen also to me with my Xbox One Fat, the only way to make it stop was unplugged it...but one day it stops, without any advice.

    What Xbox do you have and from how long it's making noise?
    Its been making the noise for quite a while now, a lot longer then i should have been letting it go on. My xbox one is one of the original ones. I don't have an s or x.
