How do I stop paying for xbox live?

I barely play my 360 anymore but it continues to bill me every month and every time I try to remove my credit card from it it says that I can't because that's the card that's keeping my account going. I feel like I'm in an endless loop! I just want to stop
paying for xbox live. help me out guys

So, I would have to stop paying for Xbox one gold and start paying for 360 gold? That's what I have to do?

i can no longer access my account but i am still paying for the gold subscription. How can i stop this?

You need to turn off the renewal, not remove the credit card. You can do that in My Account under the Subscriptions section.

that is because deleting your account only removes it from the console you are currently sitting at but does not delete it from xbox customer base - check the Posts above or give xbox Support a call

On Xbox 360 is Xbox live. It activates itself and the method of payment with credit card. But the card that was attached is no longer valid. I have money put on a single MS account, but I can't, the money did pay for a subscription to Xbox live. To stop
the subscription does not work, as it is already activated itself in advance from the card. How to pay for a subscription to Xbox live without a credit card???
