how do i stop my kid from making purchases?

I know nothing about xbox so i would really apreciate it if someone could help me please.

My son keeps charging stuff to the credit card that is on the xbox. Is there anyway to set up a password for parental control? I was told that if i remove my credit card that it will mess with his xbox live account. No idea if thats true.

    :)

How do i stop my Xbox 360 from making rings.

Like the previous 2 users said. Move the 360 to somewhere safer than on the floor. At least it sounds like it's there.

Ideally, you will need somewhere that won't block the fans on the console, somewhere that will keep the wires out of reach of animals or passers by (so people don't trip on the wire which will yank the console.) So on a desk/table near the TV or something similar.

I suggest you to set up parental controls in your console so you can keep the minor's account always under control. To do that check this support page with step by step instructions:

Also, you don't have to have a credit card attached to an account at all times. So you can remove it without messing with his account. If it is tied to an active gold subscription, you won't be able to remove it until the subscription ends though. After
you remove it, you can purchase prepaid gold cards in order for him to have a subscription without needing a card attached. Or also purchase Xbox gift cards to add money to his account if he does want to make a purchase.

How do I stop purchases on my kids Xbox?

    Hi Donna.

    My name is Renato.
I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

With a family account, you can decide which things to authorize for your children and monitor their activities.

Press the Xbox button on the controller to open the Guide.
Select Profile & system, then sign in to your account.

Press the Xbox button again to open the Guide, then select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Family settings > Manage family members.

Select Add to family > Add new.

When prompted for an email address, enter the existing email address. If they don't have one, select Get a new email address.

Agree to the Microsoft Services Agreement and Privacy Statement.

An organizer must verify the addition of the member to the family group with a mobile device, PC, or Xbox console:

If you select This Xbox: enter your Microsoft account and then follow the steps to allow the creation of the member's account.
If you select From phone/PC: you'll be asked to provide your email address.
Enter it and then follow the steps in the email you receive to give consent for the creation of the member's account.

How do I make my xbxo stop making noises

you have probably unbalanced the fan by hitting it, it will either settle down or you have perma damaged it, this will not be covered by warranty either as it is physical damage.
