how do i stop my game disc from starting automatically

• Hit the menu key of the controller.
• Go to Settings > Disc & Blu-ray.
• In the Disc settings section, uncheck "Play disc automatically".

How do you stop it from starting the download automatically so that you can change the storage device???

I think what happens is when the game is installed to the HDD the Xbox automatically stops spinning the disc after a couple minutes (used to be quicker but I think this has something to do with the change in the amount of data you can have on disc). So once
you get to the start menu and start downloading the Texture pack the disc iis still spinning, couple minutes later the disc has finished doing the security stuff and spins down because normally there isn't an installation or any other reason for the game to
still be spinning as it should be reading from the hard drive. Disc spins down, installations stops, requests you press A again, disc spins back up, installs data normally but the data from the first failed installation means the texture pack doesn't work
properly.

The Blu-Ray app is only for playing Blu-Ray movies. Games should start automatically when you insert the disc. If not, navigate to my games and apps and start the game from there.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are having issues with a disk. What type of disk is this? if it is a

game disk the game should start to install automatically. If it is a movie you may need to install the Blu ray app which is not always installed on the console. Under settings>device & streaming> Disc> make sure play disk automatically is checked. Let us
