    How do I stop constant updates?


    I rarely play games online but it seems that my One is always trying to add or update something.

    I have limited data a month so I am wondering can I stop updates?

    Will all games require updates to play offline

    ?

    How do I stop constant updates?

    System updates help improve your experience with the addition of new features as well as improvement of existing features. The updates will be downloaded from the Xbox Live service directly to your Xbox One and subsequently installed.

    You don't have to update the games. However, if you want to play or communicate on Xbox Live, you must have the latest console software. New games might also require the update before you play them.

    This is a real pain for me as well this xbox takes way too much power to keep it on for automatic update. I am really frustrated at the amount of freaking update and the time it takes to get it done. 20 minutes today before I could log on. I dont even get to pick and choose when to install the thing. I am thinking Playstation next. I have no use for system that don't allow me control.
