    Anytime I try to log in on the Xbox Beta app or when I start a game I downloaded through Gamepass a new window pops up with a button that says Sign In. No matter how many times I click the button, nothing happens. I've been able to close the window on
    Outer Worlds but I tried closing the window on snake pass and I can't. Is there any way for me to sign into the app so I can actually play some games? I uninstalled and reinstalled the Xbox beta app but it didn't work.

    Yes there is a cause for programs to act different between profiles on the same Windows 10 pc - take a look at

    "Family Settings"
    (screen time/ age & purchasing restrictions). One reason why you should

    check your account on the MS-webside
    ! And check also if everything is filled at

    the base Information
    and if
    your Computer is listed there
    - (the live service is not available in all regions and and and)

    But back to your main Problem:

    Typically, computer sign-in (better the assigned email) is the same as your Microsoft or XBOX account, and when you install a "Store app", that data is automatically filled in the App-Settings. This is also the case with the XBOX apps. However, it seems that
    this did not happen during the setup and it does not seem to be changeable with you (normally a LogOff or a change
    is possible
    ). I guess, this is an error in the registry and can happen through a setup without accepting the UAC prompt (often needed administrator Rights) but also by antivirus or so-called optimizers software.

    In your place, I would proceed as follows:

    1. After you are sure that your MS account (email) is working and has no restrictions, it will be connected to the Windows 10 login / user (Settings>Accounts>Your Info>My Microsoft Account and the same at
      Settings>Accounts>Email>Used by Apps - Add Microsoft Account).
    2. Then give this user the "Administrators Rights" (you can remove them later).
    3. Check at Setting>System>Storage>More Storage Settings - New Apps should be stored at C:
    4. To be sure, you should (after a restart) then un-install all XBOX apps (Settings>Apps>Apps & Features.)
    5. Then Reset the Store App (Settings>Apps>Apps & Features, Click on Microsoft Store - Advanced options - Reset)
    6. Then Start the Store and check in the upper right corner your account and at See more/Settings you can chack also the computer (same as in my 2nd sentence "check
      your account on the MS-webside
      " and "your Computer is listed there
      " ;-) )
    7. If there is everything fine get the updates (See more/Downloads) and install all the XBOX APPs again.
    8. Reboot and check again for Updates at the Store then try to open the XBOX Consoles Companion or XBOX (beta) APP

    Sorry about being irritable. I didn't chat with microsoft until later yesterday evening. They were busy so they gave me a case # but Ive been unable to follow up yet today. I used powershell to fix an issue with windows defender.

    I don't t think the issue is with being banned or security as i can log into both the windows store and the xbox app on the other admin profile i made last night. I still dont know why the sign-in buttons work on the new test profile but not my main one.
    Is there a common cause for programs to act different between profiles on the same pc? I want to fix the issue on my main profile rather than swap and have the problem reappear after an update.

    As you can see, going through settings just brings me back to the same broken menu/pop-up as if I pressed Sign in. Please transfer me or refer me to someone else. I don't feel you understanding the problem or are reading what I'm writing. I'm am increasingly
    frustrated with this process. Just to make sure i'm clear. THE GREEN BUTTON THAT SAYS SIGN IN DOES NOT DO ANYTHING. I do not get an error message. It does not redirect me anywhere. It does absolutely nothing at all. You aren't listening to me when I say that

    I'm honestly just frustrated that all I'm getting out of this person is the generic login troubleshooting with no acknowledgement of my specific problem. I think they're just copying whatever's under "login issues" in the troubleshooting guide. I get that
    they're trying to help and maybe I should have more patience, but the fact is they're not helping. I tried chat and they gave me a ticket # to try later. I also found that I can make another admin account on my conputer and that one works. So there's got to
    be a way to solve this. But just doing the basic troubleshooting isn't going to help. At the very least I'd like to know why i'm doing some of it. If they said something like "If your date and time settings don't match the settings on your microsoft account
    it glitches and will lock features." At least explain why what I'm doing is important or necessary. I've also run powershell and SFC or whatever that cleanup utility is. I've reset the microsoft store and uninstalled and reinstalled the xbox app. I've also
    changed my main account to local instead of connected to my microsoft account. I've also checked for windows updates (this all happened after the last one btw.) I really don't want to keep having to make new user accounts just cause something on my main one
    screwed up.

    Quit your entitled whining man. He's trying to help you but you're too dense to keep troubleshooting with him. It's an app in beta so there is clearly a bug here yeah? He's trying to troubleshoot the issue with you to resolve it, why don't you go somewhere
    else if you won't accept help offered to you.
