How do i sign into an xbox account on PC

Something similar to the problem you are presenting has never happened to me, but with the intention of helping you, I am going to suggest taking some steps that I hope will work for you.

Press Start button > Settings > Accounts, then find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app (In this case the new account) and select Delete. Then go back to the Xbox app and sign in with your old account.

Aeden, can you review if the account that's being signed in automatically appears when you open PC Settings > Accounts > Emails and accounts?

An Xbox account, is actually a Microsoft account. All you need to do is sign in on your PC with the one you do on Xbox. You can also open the settings on the Xbox app and sign out of your PC account and sign in with the one you use on Xbox.

Gamer justJutsu who had a similar issue posted a solution on the forums:

"1. Close the Xbox App

2. Hit Windows Key + R to bring up the run window

3. Type regedit and hit enter

4. Navigate through HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > Microsoft

5. Go down to XboxLive, right-click the folder and delete it

6. Close Registry Editor

7. Restart your PC

Now when you open the Xbox App you should be able to log in with other account details. Enjoy!"

I play these games on a Surface PRO tablet. I have the PC set up with a password account and when I sign out of the Surface account, I'm signed out of all accounts, including the games I'm signed into. If I do not sign out of the tablet account, the next
time I start the tablet, I am still logged in to the Xbox account. Signing out of the PC account is the only method I know to close out the Xbox account(s).
