How Do I sign into a different Ip address for the other account on my xbox?

When you sign in, sign in using his account. The first entry will show you the IP address of your location and you can compare that to the other IP address entries. If they are all the same, then the account was used at the same location. If there's a variance
in the IP address then the account may have been used at another location.

If he's given his account to a friend to use then you should see a different IP address. If not then most likely he made the purchases.

however, my xbox live account gives me a completely different ip address when i'm on xbox, the console says my ip address is 192.268.0.101

Im going to my Dad's and he has an Xbox but doesnt have Xbox live, I have a Gold Account , can I sign in on his Xbox? He said I cant because the Ip address is different. ??

ok the only other thing that I see different is the IP address. I have my router IP addresses to start at 100 but that should not matter because that is just the internal address of my router... i think... haha

do both consoles need to have different IP-addresses assigned even if I'm running the cable directly from one console to the other console? They both have wifi and are signed in under different acct.s but because
of the distance I thought a wired connection to each other would be best.
