How do I share the games data across LAN. Xbox One X to Xbox One.

Is there a way to connect game data from one Xbox X to another Xbox one in a different room (Data sharing files over a network). ? Here is the scenario: I have the Xbox 1 X in the living room with external hd's connected to it with all the game data on it.
Its a major pain to disconnect the HD's because of their positioning. Is there a way to use the Xbox 1 in the office to play the same games while accessing the game data from the main Xbox 1 X in the living room. They are both seen on my LAN. They are disc
games, not downloads, and think there would be a setting somewhere for data sharing, like a server shares files but can be accessed by multiple pc's..

Thanks, Any help on this would be great. I would hate to think this is not possible. Microsoft maybe create an Xbox server add on or something if it isn't possible,,

if you want to play on the Xbox you would probably need to install the game(s) on the Xbox in your office.

you might be able to use Network Transfer to copy the data across.

go to Settings > System > Backup & Transfer.

or, if you have a PC or laptop, you could sign in to the Xbox Companion app on the PC, connect to the Xbox and stream the game that way.

it might be possible to play remotely by streaming the game on Mixer and using remote play but that can have a fair bit of lag as it goes through Mixer's servers

You should be able to transfer games and apps over the network, all saved games and game licenses are attached to your account. As long as you are logging into the second console with your main account, you should be able to pick up your games where you
left off on the first console.

Network transfer lets one Xbox console copy games and apps from another console, so long as they’re on the same home network. Copying this way can be faster than downloading another copy of the same game or app. If you have a metered internet connection,
this can also save you money.

Any Xbox One (original Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X) can be either the source or the destination console.

On the Xbox you want to copy from, press the Xbox button

to open the guide.
Go to System > Settings > System >
Backup & transfer > Network transfer and check the
Allow network transfer box. This makes that Xbox visible to other consoles on the same network.
Once you’ve allowed transferring from the “host” Xbox, turn on the console onto which you’ll be copying games and apps, and go to the same settings page. Your host Xbox should be listed.
Select the Xbox you want to copy from, choose the items to copy, then select
Copy selected.

If you are trying to make the Xbox One X your home console so you can share your gold across the console with your family make, make sure you go in to your settings and select my xbox and set it to your home console.

every Xbox 360 and or Xbox one game you can play via backwards compatibility on your series X/S share the same multiplayer network, so yes you can play those games with your friends across different generations of Xbox. However for future games releasing
on Xbox one and series X/S separately, I can't confirm that it will work a 100%.
