How do i share a screenshot on xbox console companion

I took a screenshot on a game, and I went to console companion to share it. I pressed upload, and at 97% complete the app closed without uploading the screenshot.

How would I prevent this?

You should still have your screenshot saved even if it didn't fully upload. If you are on your computer open up the xbox console companion and make sure you are logged in. In the bottom left you will see a gear symbol for your settings, click that.

Underneath settings you should see 5 options: General, Notifications,Captures, Xbox One, Network.

Click on captures.

You should then have an option that says "Go to Windows Settings to adjust your capture settings"

Click on "Windows settings"

This will bring up your windows settings for your capture area. You should then see somewhere where it says " Save screenshots and game slips in : ____________" That is where your captures are currently being saved, you can open folder to get this specific
capture and if you'd like to change the destination you can slick " How to save to a different folder"

Im trying to figure out how to share a screenshot/clip. for some reason, console companion just closes as soon as its almost done uploading, meaning i cant share it to my feed...

Have you installed the console companion app as requested and logged in on that one? Please share a full screenshot of the screen when you get that error

You get that error message when you try to open the console companion app or when you try to log in? Could you share a screenshot?

I was able to get older screenshots to load on my Xbox by sorting the results by screenshots and games, but the older screenshots still will not show up on the Windows Xbox console companion or Xbox app.
