    How do I setup a transformer on my US Xbox in the UK?


    I'm having trouble setting up a US Xbox 360 elite in the UK, Im not a technical guy so please to reply simple with me. Need a answer fast please How do I setup a transformer on my US Xbox in the UK? :) I also have a transformer but I have no clue on how to use it for the Xbox!

    USA -> Germany, Power Brick

    Have a look on your Xbox One power brick. If it says 120v-240v then you just need a US to EU travel adapter.

    If it only says 120v then you would need a power transformer.

    Both options are easier to get than a new Xbox One power setup.

    Hi there,

    As far as I know using a transformer isn't advised and could lead to serious issues. My advise is to try and contact Xbox Support in the UK to see if they can arrange/order a replacement power supply for your console. The UK number for Xbox Support is: •020

    No, as far as I know the UK uses 220-230v too

    The only way is to buy a U.K. power supply.

    I'd advise buying it from the Microsoft Store or a dedicated games shop as places like ebay,Amazon etc. can sell quite convincing 3rd party power bricks & you need an official microsoft one

    I have to agree with WPAK, that using a transformer on your console is ill advised. And in any case, there shouldn't be a need to use one. All you need is a UK Xbox 360 power supply. You should be able to purchase one from UK Xbox support on 0800 587
    1102.

    DO NOT under any circumstances attempt to purchase a 'third party' PSU from the likes of eBay or private sellers on other auction sites. These power supplies are bootlegged, not safe and do not conform to EU or British electrical
    safety standards. Use of one of these could result in electrocution, fire or in worst cases, death!

    Apart from regional lock outs, the internal components of the U.S console are the same as the UK and European machines. All you need is the official UK Xbox 360 power supply.
