How do i set up xbox time limits without a child account?

Hello,

My kid plays on his own XBOX one and he plays on my parent account. I dont want to set him up with a child account because hes not old enough for an email address, plus he'll loose all his saved game data if he has to start playing on a new account. If
this is the only way to set up screen time for a child its horribly ineffective and useless. If theres no other way to set up screen time then please address in a future update.

You have to set whether the account will be adult = no borders or childhood and it is in privacy & security.

Limits are only available on child accounts. There is no way to set it up otherwise.

So basically you're asking to put time limits on your own account?

Not sure how old your kid is but mine have had their own accounts and emails since they were 4 and 9.

Screen limits work well for me and are very easy and simple to use.

You can set time limits by creating a child account for the person you are wanting to add these limits to. All you'll need to do is set up a
Family Account then add your child to that account.

The Xbox app's profile (or profile on xbox one) for each user has time when people played a game last but I don't think there's anything that lets you see how long someone's played, except if you are a parent of a child account and you set screen time
